Vietnam Disburses $3.5B ODA in 2010: Ministry
Vietnam disbursed $3.5 billion in official development assistance (ODA) in 2010, exceeding 44.2% of the full-year target.
Of the sum, $3.2 billion came as soft loans while the rest was non-refundable aid, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
The country signed ODA deals worth $3.17 billion with foreign donors during the year, including $2.034 loans and the rest from non-refundable aid, the MPI added.
At the CG Meeting has held in the capital city of Hanoi, foreign donors pledged a total of $7.9 billion in aid for the nation this year.
Vietnam disbursed $9.81 billion in ODA between 2006 and 2009, making up 41% of total pledged ODA. (MPI)
