Born in Ung Hoa district, Ms Nguyen Thi Luong, Director of Hien Luong Trade Centre has strived to realise her aspiration of not only bettering her life, but also making her hometown land richer. Her efforts and intelligence have contributed to the prosperous development of a modern trade centre in the agriculture-based land. The success, according to Director Luong, is attributed to her deep gratitude to her hometown.
Diversified sectors
Located in Hoa Xa commune in Ung Hoa district, right on the way to Huong (Perfume) Pagoda, the base of Director Nguyen Thi Luong is considered the most modern here.

The precursor of 2-9 Limited Company is 2-9 Ha Tay Factory, which was set up in 1991 with ten managers and about 50 workers, specializing in agricultural product processing. In 2001, the factory was converted into 2-9 Limited Company, which coincided with the establishment of PET production plant. In 2005, the company started the construction of PP package production plant and put it into operation at the end of 2006. The company’s package products are produced on foreign-imported lines and distributed to former Ha Tay, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces.

In 2008 the company decided to invest in and opened a chain of commercial services. Apart from the system of restaurants to serve conferences; petrol stations, furniture supermarkets, wedding studios, the company built Hien Luong trade centre, initially creating a new purchasing culture for locals.
Currently, the company has over 400 workers (including 200 working in the package production plant), who are mostly young, enthusiastic and skilled. Besides focusing on training its staff, the company has also expanded its operation network to more than 400 regular partners. Thus, despite difficulties from the economic crisis, the company’s revenue in 2010 still increased 25 per cent against the previous year.
Gratitude to hometown
For Director Nguyen Thi Luong, her hometown of Ung Hoa is closely connected to her wishes and plans. The local people depended heavily on agriculture for their living, and they often met many difficulties, particularly after the harvest. “How to enrich not only myself, but also other people was my concern at that time,” revealed the female director. With that concern, Ms Luong set up her own firm and has gradually grown it, creating hundreds of regular jobs.

Along with the rapid changes of the country, the life of Ung Hoa people in recent years has improved, leading to increasing demand for shopping, feasts and make-up. Hien Luong Trade Centre is right there to serve that proper demand. The centre provides consumers with various products which are guaranteed not only in quality but also the original source. With widespread fame, the number of consumers to Hien Luong Trade Centre increases day by day and a new style of purchasing is taking shape in the agricultural land. The system of spacious shops, plus the polite service of Hien Luong, has created a new face for the land of Ung Hoa.
Director Luong said, “We always consider the workforce an important factor in all successes; humankind is also the measure of products’ quality.” Thus, the company pays special attention to the spiritual and material life of its staff, giving them regular health check-ups and holidays. Other benefits such as insurance, salary rise and priorities to skilled workers are also implemented in accordance with state rules. The company’s good and friendly working environment has encouraged and connected all members of the company.
