Key transport works such as Thu Bien Bridge, Phu Cuong Bridge, Highway 13 to Tham Rot Bridge, DT744 Road etc and concrete roads, asphalted roads have created motivation for stronger social-economic development of Binh Duong province,resulting in more improved life of people here.
Mr Tran Van Thay – Director of Binh Duong Department of Transport said that, after the province was re-established, Provincial Party Committee – People’s Committee has concentrated on investing transport infrastructure works, in which there are key ones contributing to make up social-economic breakthrough such as: Road ĐT741 route from Cross Section of So Sao crossroad to Bau Tru at the border with Binh Phuoc province with scale of 6 lanes; ĐT743 route Lai Thieu-Dong Tan-Binh Thung; DDT743 route Dinh market-Vuon Tram; ĐT743 route Vuon Tram-Song Than; ĐT744; Phu Cuong Bridgel; Binh An general cargo port; Thanh Phuoc port etc. Besides, there are 28 Industrial Zones in Binh Duong province which have been invested complete technical infrastructure, comprehensive connection to works’ transport system is ensured to serve provincial social-economic development in current and coming period.
In addition to completing necessary transport network, transportation industry has also boosted up investment, upgrade, maintenance and amendments on routes which are under provincial control, ensured circulating traffic to serve economic development and transportation needs of people. Promoting this success, from now to 2015 and following years, Binh Duong Transport continues to upgrade, maintain and complete roads and key transport works in the province. Particularly, the department concentrates on renewing roads on Binh Duong 1 Highway (Highway 13) linking to roads of Ho Chi Minh City; putting into operation highway Ho Chi Minh city-Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh; renewing Ho Chi Minh City belt road 3 on route running through Binh Duong province etc. Firstly, Binh Duong province will invest routes of belt road 4 such as: route from My Phuoc III Industrial Zone to DDT741, newly build Thoi An bridge and route from Thoi An to the border with ĐT748 etc.
Mr Thay said that, in order to ensure transport keep pace and effectively serve national and regional requirements of social-economic development, in period 5 from 2011-2015, the industry concentrates on upgrading and expanding road DDT744, completing and expanding 3 BOT routes in Tan Uyen: ĐT746, ĐT747; ĐT742; finishing construction of Thoi An bridge, Ong Co bridge; completing My Phuoc-Tan Van Road; Improving to avoid traffic jam at So Sao crossroad, Phu Long T-junction, underground tunnel in Vsip Industrial Zone; coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport to upgrade Le Thi Hoa road on route from Go Dua crossroad to ĐT743; initiating elevated Highway 13; Completing Thanh Phuoc port, An Son port. The province also pays attention to investing into urban roads in Thu Dau Mot town, Thuan An town, Di An town to make Thu Dau Mot become a city under provincial control, gradually become a city under central control in 2020, opens more bus routes connecting provincial cities and IZs, helping to reduce congestion risks.
Comprehensively social-technical infrastructure with core of transport development is one of the major tasks that will be led by Binh Duong provincial Party Committee in coming time. It is believed that under leadership of provincial Party Committee, consensus and participation of people and effective investment from Government, transport network in Binh Duong province will be completed, meeting development needs of the province and the region.
