Saigon Newport Launches Transportation Company and SNP Logistics Centre

On July 16, 2013, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) officially launched two affiliated companies, namely Newport Overland Transportation Joint Stock Company (VTB) and Saigon Newport Logistics Centre (SNP Logistics).

 

VTB will be an important link in the SNP Logistics’ services supply chain. Together with SNP Waterway Transportation, VTB will add capabilities for SNP Logistics to bring rapid, safe and effective transportation solutions to customers. With a nationwide infrastructure system, strong overland and waterway transportation capabilities, modern warehousing system, advanced technology and agents in more than 50 countries in the world plus experienced, passionate staff, SNPL is confident to provide customers with complete service and utilities.

 

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nguyen Dang Nghiem, General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation, thanked customers for their past support and expressed his hopes that these new companies will bring more high-quality utility services to customers. To serve and support bigger vessels to help shippers and shipping firms reduce costs, the corporation built a new 222.8-metre wharf and a 12-ha yard in Cat Lai terminal. This facility is capable of serving ships of 40,000 DWT.
