In more than 50 years of construction and development, CMC Joint Stock Company has experienced many economic ups and downs, but with the willpower, strength, bravery and solidarity of all the staff, the company has achieved a plenty of successes and received many certificates of merit and medals from the State for its business achievements. Currently, CMC is a leading brick and tile manufacturer in Phu Tho province. CMC-branded tiles are now present all over the country and available in many countries in the world.
CMC Joint Stock Company was formerly known as Viet Tri Concrete Factory established in 1960 as an affiliate to Song Hong Corporation administered by the Ministry of Construction. In June 2006, CMC was officially transformed from a state-owned enterprise into a joint stock company. To reach its current success, since 1997, the company invested in its production line with an annual capacity of 1 million square metres. Then, the company applied advanced production equipment and technologies imported from Italy and Spain to scale up production capacity. In 2013, the yearly production capacity has reached 10 million square metres, and more than 650 workers are employed to run the line at expected capacity. Under the operating principle “quality is the leading factor to guarantee success", all products must undergo strict quality inspection before being launched onto the market.
Faced with economic difficulties and challenges from 2011 to 2012, based on internal and external resources, CMC Joint Stock Company invested VND300 billion to build the second tile production factory with a yearly output of 5 million square metres in Thuy Van Industrial Park. In August 2012, the second factory was put into operation and run at over 80 per cent of designed capacity. It generated jobs for 220 workers with an average individual income of VND4.5 million a month.

In addition, the company always fulfils all obligations to employees, like providing health insurance and social insurance. It also applies particular treatments to well-performing employees or employees with needy conditions. It regularly participates in charity and social programmes like disaster relief and scholarships.

Speaking of the company’s development goals and directions in the coming years, General Director Nguyen Quang Huy of CMC Joint Stock Company said CMC’s leadership decided to invest in modern, advanced production lines to improve the product quality and categories. The company will focus on high-grade ceramic tiles for domestic consumption and for export. To achieve this goal, the company will continue to invest in some tile-grinding lines, apply technical innovations to rationalise production, and ensure quality compliance with the ISO9001-2008 quality management system.

With its rich experience, modern machinery and equipment, and well-trained personnel, CMC-trademarked tiles are constantly improved in quality, design and other indicators. Hence, while the construction material market is stagnant, CMC is a rare company without excessive inventory and running its factories at full capacity.
