Thuy Dat Joint Stock Company is growing, confirming its position as a leading company and always striving to bring Vietnamese brands to the world market.
Thuy Dat Joint Stock Company (formerly known as Bong Sen Corporation) was founded in 1989 with only 5 employees and the capital of VND10 million. Now, the company has a workforce of nearly 900 people and annual revenue of hundreds of billions of VND. It is operating stably in Hoa Xa Industrial Zone, Nam Dinh province. Currently the company has factories and workshops specialising in manufacturing and processing export goods, and the production and sale of textile fibre products and all kinds of cotton towels.
The company pays close attention to the improvement and renewal of equipment, machinery and technology to produce products that have the best quality and design to best meet the rigorous requirements of partners. Up to now, Thuy Dat has plants worth tens of millions of dollars in investment. Its production goes under strict inspection and is a closed process from raw material to finished product. The company's products are mainly exported to markets including Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, etc. Japan accounts for 85 percent of total export value per year of the company.
Mr Nguyen Van Chau, Chairman and Director of Thuy Dat Joint Stock company, said that the business was the first to be established in Nam Dinh after Vietnam's economy shifted to market mechanism. Right from the start of operation, with the point of view that conquering the most difficult market will help the company confirm its potential, reputation, brand and quality, the company considered Japan its goal as a main partner for long-term cooperation. The success in such a difficult market like Japan is a practical ticket for the expansion of activities in other markets. Understanding this, during its operation, the company always focuses on product quality.
After long efforts, in 2008, the company successfully exported the first shipment to Japan. Since then, the company has always received the attention and trust of customers through regular contracts with high economic value. Currently, Thuy Dat has more than 40 regular customers and more than 40 non-regular customers. The majority of customers have maintained cooperation with Thuy Dat over years after the first purchase, thanks to the quality of products which meets the increasing demands of the market. It is also because the company always keeps the delivery schedule, which supports its prestige to partners.
Not taking its success for granted, Thuy Dat has paid due attention to maintaining relationships with existing customers, finding new partners and expanding activities to other markets such as Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The US is the most recent high potential market that the company has approached.
According to Mr Chau, while Japan focuses mainly on product quality, the US pays special attention to the conditions for workers. Therefore, though the company follows state policies and regulations of caring of employees very well, in the coming time, it will pay more attention to and further promote programs and activities to ensure the interests of staff and workers. It is to open relations with partners in the US and also to fulfil its social responsibility in a humanitarian spirit for all employees of the company.
In addition to expanding markets, Thuy Dat is also very interested in supplying materials with stable quality and duration. Its cotton project in Laos, if soon completed and put into operation, will certainly make the company more active about materials and reduce production costs by limiting imports of raw materials, thereby increasing the company's profit and further stabilizing worker conditions. With the resources available, in addition to support from the local authority, entering the huge US market is the next step. Thuy Dat Joint Stock Company can be proud to accomplish its mission of "Bringing Vietnamese goods to the world."
