Anh Minh Co.,Ltd: Working for Farmers' Success

All companies, regardless of age or scale, have a root, a starting point. Anh Minh Co., Ltd. originated from a coffee purchasing agent, Anh Minh Co., Ltd was set up on June 23, 2000 in Dak Lak province.

 

Anh Minh Co., Ltd. is the top private coffee exporter in Dak Lak province. If big State-run companies are counted, the firm is also in the Top 5 of coffee exporters. Specifically, the coffee export volume totalled 45,000 tonnes in 2011, 60,000 tonnes in 2012 and an estimated 70,000 tonnes in 2013. Its key export market is Europe.

 

Mr Phan Anh Hung, Deputy Director of Anh Minh Co., Ltd, said: "To have quality products, Anh Minh has cooperated with 13,000 farming households to grow coffee with the company responsible to provide scientific and technological support for coffee growers. The company together with farmers develops coffee sustainably and protects the environment. And, finally, Anh Minh purchases all coffee from the farmers. However, he also expressed concerns in globalising Vietnam’s coffee brand, particularly VAT. He suggested that exporters pay taxes instead of suppliers in order to avoid tax evasions (exporters pay taxes when they do export procedures with customs authorities.)

 

In the past years, under the leadership of Director Phan Quoc Huy and the determination and devotion of employees, the company has achieved constant growth and development, and has overcome every difficulty and challenge. Apart from modernised equipment, the workforce has also expanded from its initial 20 employees to 400 now.
