The so-called “shutdown of Bangkok" campaign has ended, ahead of the new festival season featuring many Thai-style cultural, sporting, tourism and entertainment activities. Currently, Vietnamese outbound tour operators are launching Thailand tours with a very attractive prices of some VND7 million per person plus other interesting incentives.
Exciting campaign
"Come and enjoy your great time in amazing Thailand - Start with awesome people" is the appeal by Ms Chutathip Chareonlarp, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Ho Chi Minh City. This heralded a new Thailand tourism season and the ending of the two-month “Shutdown of Bangkok" Campaign.
With this information, many travellers are excited to hear the official announcement from TAT. "Thailand is a Buddhist country which is famous for cultural festivals imbued with national identity. This is also a great place for relaxation with professional tourism services, particularly fitting to upcoming public holidays in Vietnam like the Reunification Day or summer vacations. My family and I prepared for the upcoming holiday from the start of this year and Bangkok will be our destination of choice," said Ms Nguyen Thi Mai, an employee at the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
According to the latest information released on March 3 by TAT, attractions in Bangkok like Pathumwan, Ratchaprasong, and Silom -Asoke intersection have become normal as usual. Besides, all the attractions in Bangkok including the Temple Complex of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), the Grand Palace of the Royal and the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) are still open as usual. Tourists can visit these attractions by public means of transport like buses, passenger vehicles and cars operated by tour operation, taxi, skytrain, subway or ferry. This is a very convenient condition for travel companies to reopen Thailand tours to meet growing demand of customers.
Discounted tour prices and plentiful incentives
To prepare for the peak travel season, particularly the Reunification Day (April 30) and summer vacation, to meet the demand for exploring shopping streets and all-night entertainment centres in Bangkok after a 2-month closure, many Vietnamese outbound tour operators like Vietravel, Hanoi Tourist, Golden Tour & Convention collaborated with TAT to organise many Thailand discovery programmes for Vietnamese tourists and launched many new Thailand tours with attractive prices of as low as VND7 million.
Dubbed as the "city of angels", Bangkok interests visitors not only with exciting atmosphere and colourful entertainment, but also with lots of fascinating sights. In this occasion, travel companies have launched a series of new destinations, including Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall built with marble of the Italian Renaissance and Neo Classic style, 130-metre high spectacular Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan) engraved by laser rays, the Temple of Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit) featuring the world's largest solid gold statue.
Bangkok also proudly has Safari World - Asia's largest natural zoo with more than 75 species of mammals, 300 species of birds of Africa and Asia and remarkable animal species in the world. Visitors are free to take photos while discovering animals and watching hilarious performances of dolphins and extremely interesting Agent 007 storytelling shows. These tours are suitable for groups and families, and are particularly exciting for children. In addition, other popular destinations like Coral Island, Royal Gold and Gems Centre, Pattaya Elephant Village, Phra Tamnak Hill - an ideal place to view the scenery of Pattaya and enjoy the unique Tiffany's Show - will give unforgettable impressions to visitors.
To have a high-quality, meaningful holiday, tourists need to plan their trips. In addition, they necessarily choose reputable tour operators with guaranteed quality and book early to enjoy preferential treatment like free entry tickets, gifts and vacation vouchers. In particular, insurance coverage reaches up to VND630 million for foreign tours, including personal belongings.
