Thinh Phat Food Co.,Ltd: Enhancing Value of Vietnamese Rice

 

Founded in 2008, Thinh Phat Food Company has become one of the most reputable brands in food export. With modern equipment including dryer systems with a capacity of 100 tonnes/ day (planned to upgrade to 300 tonnes/ day in the phrase 2), milling and polishing systems with a capacity of 20 tonnes / day and a warehouse with a capacity of 100 tonnes of rice (processed) and 4,000 tonnes of rice (before processing), the company has been able to purchase a huge amount of rice for export. Through brand reputation and the number of its partners, the company has always had a large quantity of goods with estimated annual average of 40,000 tonnes to export to China, Malaysia. As for the first quarter of 2014, Thinh Phat exported 2,000 tonnes of rice to China and part to the Philippines under the rice-collecting programme of the Government.

 

In the past 3 years, Thinh Phat Company has switched to adopt the rice seed OC10 which is very popular in the market, helping farmers in two districts of Binh Dai and Ba Tri timely consume the major rice output in the high season. In two districts, there are currently 2,000 hectares serving the production of the rice seed OC10, providing an abundant of rice for the market and securing raw materials for export of the company.

 

To support farmers in production, in the past winter-spring crop, the company purchased 10,000 tonnes according to criteria, including more than 200 tonnes of OC10 rice.

 

Not only being successful in business, Thinh Phat Food Company is a major benefactor of the province as they participate in the social security programmes in the locality. Every year, the company builds and awards gratitude houses for poor families; monthly organises voluntary cooking programmes for the poor and many other community programmes in the area.
