TCL Enhances Annual Production to 600,000 TV Sets

TCL Vietnam Co. in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province, has just put a new TV set production line into operation, bringing its total capacity to 600,000 per annum, doubling the previous capacity.

"The launch aims to meet the Vietnamese market's demand and export TV sets to ASEAN and EU countries," said Kevin Deng, TCL Vietnam general director. This year, the company has exported TV sets to the EU, and expects to obtain an export value of US$2 million in 2004 and US$10 million/year in the near future.

After five years of operation, TCL has increased its capital to US$11.5 million.
