Singaporean Travel Firms Plan to Tap Tours to Phu Quoc
With its existing tourism potential and tourism development investment policies, Phu Quoc is likely to become an attractive tourist destination in the region and a notable destination for international tourists while they visit Vietnam.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said that shortly after Vietnam Airlines announced the opening of Singapore - Phu Quoc direct flights, Deks Air Singapore Company launched specific programmes for visitors from Singapore to Phu Quoc Resort, including free travelling or 4-day, 3-night package travelling or 5-day, 4-night travelling (with one day drop on Ho Chi Minh City). The company is preparing for its first tourists to arrive in Phu Quoc Resort. A company representative said "The first advantage of Phu Quoc is the short direct flight route from Singapore to Phu Quoc. Then, Phu Quoc has a lot of beautiful and tranquil beaches, not as noisy and crowded beaches as in Thailand or Indonesia. Besides, Singaporean people are very keen on seafood.” Apart from Deks Air, six other travel companies are planning to tap tourism in Phu Quoc.
