In spite of being affected by the economic downturn, Vien Chau Construction Material Production Joint Stock Company still managed to secure stable production and business development, and maintain its leading position in the building material production sector in Tuyen Quang province. Economic slowdown and shrinking market caused by the slump of real estate market hurt manufacturers of bricks, steel, cement and other construction materials. But, Vien Chau boldly invested in advanced production technologies to better satisfy market demands. Besides, it reviewed its employees and closely managed equipment and machines to ensure productivity and efficiency. The firm also actively applied solutions to boost sales, expand its markets to surrounding provinces like Ha Giang and Yen Bai and grant allowances for far-lying agents. With proper clay, the company’s bricks feature bright colour and high hardness. Currently, the company is running two production lines with a designed capacity of 40 million bricks a year but the actual output in 2014 was 80 million units. Therefore, the company not only6 maintained stable production but also ensured good employment and income for workers.
To satisfy consumers’ demands, the company has constantly improved its workforce quality to turn out best products for customers. In addition to salary and rewards, employees are granted health insurance, social insurance, and unemployment insurance. Vien Chau also actively supports employees living with special difficulties. In 2014, the average monthly salary of 400 employees is VND4.5 million each.
With its product value, service quality, dynamism, creativity and suitable business development strategy, Vien Chau has affirmed its brand name in the marketplace in general and in construction material production industry in particular. In the coming time, the company will diversify its product lines to meet the market demand and will build an adobe brick production line with an annual output of 20 million units. The first phase with an output of 10 million bricks will start official production in 2015 to meet the local demand. The second phase is expected to be built in 2016 in Long Binh An Industrial Complex. The company is seeking new development strategies to withstand difficulties and challenges to secure its position as the leading bird of the construction material production sector in Tuyen Quang province and the Northwest region.
