French Power Distribution Experience Transferred to EVN
Mr Rémi Genevey, Director of the French Agency for Development (AFD) in Vietnam, and Mr Andréas Greim, General Manager of EDF International Networks, signed two financial agreements allowing two major electricity distributors of Vietnam to test French power network optimisation solutions.
EDF International Networks (EDF IN) wants to develop technical partnerships with Hanoi Power Corporation and the Northern Power Corporation, both affiliated to the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN). The partnership agreement, signed in July, is expected to provide for the transfer of experience and expertise in developing distribution networks and investment optimisation methodologies.
This technical partnership received a non-refundable aid of EUR668 664 from the Funds for Technical Expertise and Experience Sharing (FEXTE), which is managed by AFD. This first FEXTE project will allow promoting knowledge, technology and experience of energy efficiency by EDF IN and French partners.
