Vietnam - Cuba Culture Day in HCM city
On December 13th, the Vietnam - Cuba Culture Day was organized in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city.
The event aimed to mark the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic relationship (02/12/1960 - 02/12/2015) and the 57th anniversary of the Cuban revolution (01/01/1959 - 01/01/2016).
In the framework of the event, a number of activities such as a contest on learning about Cuba and the friendship relations between Vietnam - Cuba; performances of Vietnamese and Cuban songs; an exhibition of the friendship relations between the two countries as well as enjoying culinary dishes from Cuba.
Truong Thi Hien, President of Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association in HCM city stressed that the Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic relationship has been substantially strengthened in the past years with visits of high-ranking leaders from the two countries and the results from the visits expressing strongly the determination of the Parties, States and Governments between the two countries towards the preservation and promotion of friendly relations.
Cuban General Consul, Bernabe Garcia Valido expressed his belief that with the long and sustainable unity, the Vietnamese and Cuban citizens of today and future generations would continue to foster the friendship, comprehensive cooperation and absolute confidence between the two countries.
