Korea, Vietnam Enhance Investment Cooperation in Food Processing
In the framework of the cooperation programme in 2016, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the ASEAN - Korea Centre (AKC) and the Vietnam Trade Office in South Korea will hold an investment promotion programme in Korea in June 2016.
The programme aims to introduce Vietnam's investment environment, new policies and regulations to South Korean companies and investors; highlight investment opportunities in food processing industry in the context of the effectiveness of VKFTA Agreement; present food products and food industry to Korean investors; call for investment capital from Korea into industrial zones and investment projects in Vietnam; provide opportunities for Vietnamese and Korean localities, organisations and businesses to meet and discuss investment cooperation opportunities.
Main activities include a workshop on “Korea and Vietnam - Promoting investment cooperation in food processing”; trade and investment connections for Vietnamese and Korean companies in Seoul; and meetings with trade and investment promotion organisations.
Priority will be given to companies engaged in agricultural production; processed food, forest and aquatic products; food processing machinery and equipment; drinks; packages; transportation and warehousing.
