From a small-scale shrimp variety farm, after nearly 20 years of development, Dac Loc Aquaculture Private Enterprise has become the most important enterprise in Phu Yen province with stable growth every year. The company gains increasing status and trademark in the market.
The key to famous trademark
Recalling the early days, Ms Nguyen Thi Nga, Director of Dac Loc Aquaculture Private Enterprise, said: “In the 1990s, my husband and I began the start-up with shrimp raising, but failed in 2000. Though shrimp raising is risky, we had no choice and decided to make another attempt and finally we made it.”
Together with personal efforts, Dac Loc benefited from the advantages of Central Vietnam, support of the State and local authorities, as well as confidence of clients regarding the company as a trustworthy and potential partner. In addition, the company has constantly developed infrastructure and modern equipment, applied high technology in the production. In February 2016, Dac Loc was honoured as the first company in Phu Yen with the award “Agricultural company applying high technology”. Furthermore, since 2013, Dac Loc has been among first Vietnamese companies receiving Certificate Global GAP. The company has also applied special treatment to attract human resources and ensure further success.
However, as the market is being mixed with shrimps of unknown sources, seriously affecting the prestige and quality of genuine companies, Dac Loc has to double its efforts heightening quality and service to improve the market. The company also plans to build a processing plant and business centre of international standards to supply consumers with safe and qualified products, and gradually upgrade the trademarks of Phu Yen product, as well as that of Vietnam.
Family - source of success
According to Ms Nguyen Thi Nga, her success is in large measure due to the support her family. She repeated it in several interviews with the press. Recalling the difficulties for businesswomen regarding business and family, she said: “I am a lucky woman. Though being a manager responsible before the law, I often share my thoughts with my husband and receive his support. He is very experienced in technology and business strategy. With me, family is the root of success. A happy family ensures business success. Therefore, I manage well the time for business and family, duly performing the duty of a wife and mother.”
Ms Nga is also regarded as a successful businesswoman making Dac Loc always thrive. On the occasion of “Global Summit of Women in Poland 2016” answering the press, she confided: “The success of Dac Loc is mainly due to the devotion to business and human resources, understanding and sharing with the community. It helps Dac Loc gain more credibility from customers.”
