VN’s Businesses Encouraged to Expand Operation in Japan
The Foreign Investment Agency (FIA), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) co-organized a seminar on investment and business opportunities in the Japanese market on July 5.
Speaking at the event, head of the FIA Do Nhat Hoang announced that the Vietnamese businesses have poured US$9 billion in 1,000 projects overseas, of which US$ 5 billion was disbursed.
Japanese businesses have invested in 40 projects, worth US$7 billion in Viet Nam, ranking 45th among 68 nations and territories investing in Viet Nam.
The FIA commits to creating favourable conditions, reducing administrative procedures and encouraging the Vietnamese enterprises to invest overseas.
Executive Vice President of JETRO Shigeki Maeda called Vietnamese businesses to invest in Japan's information technology. Accordingly, a program, aiming to train 10,000 software engineers for Asia, will create huge opportunities for Vietnamese engineers.
The Japanese Government is reforming investment conditions for foreign businesses to invest in Japan, he added.
