Cuban ZED Mariel Pays Working Visit to Vinh Phuc

A delegation of Mariel Special Development Zone (ZED Mariel) of the Republic of Cuba, led by Deputy Director Yanet Vazquez Valdes, recently paid a working visit to Vinh Phuc province. Leaders of Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board received and worked with the delegation.

At the working meeting, Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board introduced an overview of the province's socioeconomic picture, characteristics of industrial zones, experiences in industrial zone development, and investment processes and procedures in Vinh Phuc among others. In particular, the board provided information on investment incentive policies in financial support, worker training, advertising costs and sector-specific support for mechanical manufacturing, automobile and motorcycle assembling, industrial zone infrastructure investment and operation, financial services, banking services and logistics services. While introducing investment attraction and business performance of companies in industrial parks, the board expressed its readiness and willingness to welcome and best support investors from Cuba.

Speaking at the meeting, the delegation of ZED Mariel highly appreciated Vinh Phuc for its industrial development achievements and its investment attraction experience, administrative procedures and the time for investment registration, as well as its support for investors. This helped ZED Mariel to gain experience and practical perspective, study investment attraction and realize the desire of Cuban companies to invest in Vinh Phuc province.

Later on the same day, the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board took the Cuban delegation to visit Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park and Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park, two typical industrial zones of the province.
