With a sustainable development orientation that harmonizes spirituality, ecology, and resort tourism, the Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourism Complex, invested by Tay Yen Tu Services Joint Stock Company, is gradually establishing its position as a strategic destination for tourism in northern Vietnam, while also opening opportunities to attract investment, particularly foreign direct investment (FDI) flows into high-quality services.

Integrated investment, expanded visitor experience

Linked to Emperor Tran Nhan Tong’s spiritual practice and the spread of Buddhism, Tay Yen Tu is considered an important part in completing the Yen Tu spiritual and cultural complex connected with the broader Yen Tu heritage site. The development of the tourism area not only helps preserve and promote the values of the Truc Lam Zen tradition but also creates new momentum for socio-economic development in the northern midland and mountainous region.

Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourism Complex is gradually positioning itself as a strategic tourism destination

To date, the site has welcomed about 2 million visitors, reflecting its growing appeal.

Beyond its spiritual value, Tay Yen Tu is being developed into a multi-experience tourism model. Phase 2 of the project began in the fourth quarter of 2025, with plans to put facilities such as camping areas, hotels, and commercial-service streets into operation in 2027.

According to the development orientation, in the 2026-2030 period, Tay Yen Tu aims to welcome around 1 million visitors per year, of which international visitors are expected to account for 10%, with the goal of becoming a national-level tourism area by 2030.

In the long term, several large-scale projects will be developed, including high-end resorts, a World Buddhist Park, a live performance stage, and a glass bridge, forming a synchronized and modern tourism ecosystem.

This approach not only improves visitor experience but also increases length of stay and tourist spending, which are key factors in a high-quality tourism development strategy.

Green tourism as a foundation for sustainable development

One of the key highlights of the Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourism Complex is its “green tourism” orientation. The site was awarded the Vietnam Green Tourism Label (VITA Green) in April 2025, confirming its commitment to environmental protection and preserving local culture.

Besides infrastructure investment, the company focuses on building a tourism ecosystem that is friendly to nature, while strengthening linkages with community-based tourism cooperatives. This model not only improves service quality but also creates sustainable livelihoods for local residents.

Toward a national tourism area

The Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourism Complex has welcomed about 2 million visitors, with a target for 2026-2030 of 1 million visitors per year, 10% of whom are international tourists, and the goal of becoming a national tourism area by 2030. The long-term orientation is green tourism development under the VITA Green criteria.

In a context where global travelers increasingly prioritize environmentally responsible destinations, this is an important competitive advantage that helps Tay Yen Tu attract international visitors and investors.

With a structured development strategy, Tay Yen Tu is gradually becoming a new growth driver, not only contributing to enhancing the local image but also opening up investment opportunities in resort, trade, and service sectors.

As Vietnam promotes the development of its “smokeless industry” toward higher quality standards, the Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourism Complex is considered a typical model that balances conservation and development, as well as cultural value and economic efficiency.
