HCMCity Lures over US$950Mln FDI Capital
Ho Chi Minh City has so far this year licensed 155 foreign-invested projects with a total investment capital of US$780.2 million, trebling the amount it attracted in the same period of last year.
Of the sum, 126 projects valued USS$719.7 million are wholly foreign-invested, 27 joint ventures and two business contracts. In addition, 66 existing projects increased their investment by US$170 million, raising the total FDI capital US$950.3 million since the beginning of this year. The FDI capital is mainly injected processing industry, asset trading, consulting service, construction, health and banking.
This encouraging result is attributed to many new investment and trade promotion programmes overseas.
