"Vietnam High Quality Goods 2007" Title for Best Companies

The ceremony to name and reward “Vietnam High Quality Goods 2007” Title is set to be opened in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and to be aired live on December 31, 2006. This is part of the event series themed “Business days for the community” taking place from December 28 - 31. In 2006, the Education Development Supporting Fund and enterprises contributed VND2 billion (US$125,000) to community development, granting hundreds of scholarships to students in the Mekong Delta region, Central Highlands, Central Vietnam, etc and building primary schools and kindergartens.

Companies are selected by consumers nationwide and most selected ones are consumer goods producers and material production firms. The revenues of enterprises running for “Vietnam High Quality Goods 2007” rose 22 per cent in 2006, averaging VND448 billion (US$28 million). SJC Co. has the largest revenues of VND16,000 billion (US$1 billion). In 2007, the Vietnam High Quality Goods trade fairs will be opened in Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Rach Gia, Quy Nhon, Buon Ma Thuot, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Ha Noi and Cambodia.
