Navigos Releases Salary Survey 2007

Navigos Group, a human resources consulting and training firm, on April 11 announced the results of a survey on wages and salaries offered by companies in Vietnam after a six-month survey. The survey was conducted on 28,000 employees from 156 companies in different cities and provinces in Vietnam.

 

According to Navigos, the average salary level applied in foreign invested enterprises is higher than domestic companies, but Vietnamese firms will catch up with foreign invested enterprises in the next five or seven years in terms of salary payment.

 

The survey showed that employees working in the fields of marketing and finance are the highest income earners. In addition, knowledge and foreign language skills are decisive factors in pay scale. Knowledge and experience gained from overseas work experience are also important factors for employers to define salary policies.
