Adoption of Self-Reporting and Self-Paying Tax

From July 1st, the tax collection system in which tax payers are in charge of self- reporting and self- paying for their tax will be widely adopted. Vu Van Ninh, Chief of the General Taxation Department, said after lengthy study and piloting, the system will be adopted for all kinds of tax. Tax payers must follow the Tax Management Law, which improves not only the rights and duties, but also the self- consciousness of tax payers.

 

In 2007, the tax authority will focus on checking all official procedures in tax collection, and discontinue all unnecessary procedures which waste time and money for tax payers. All procedures will be made simpler, more transparent and convenient for tax payers.
