Vietnam Forecast to Reap US$10.87Bln Revenue of Retailers, Services in Q3

Vietnam’s retailing and services sectors are forecast to reach VND174 trillion (US$10.87 billion) in the third quarter of this year, up 3.6 per cent on second quarter and up 22.4 per cent on year, the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s National Center for Socio-Economic Information & Forecast said.

The total revenue of the sectors are predicted to hit VND506 trillion (US$31.625 billion) in Jan-Sep, up 22.4 per cent on year.
 
Strong growth of the retailing and services sectors in the third quarter will be driven by a series of tourism promotional events such as the Trans-Asian Tourism Seminar, the Sea-mouth Festival, the ASEAN-NTOs leaders’ meeting.
 
Notably, Vietnam Tourism Association will hold tourism promotion campaigns in Vladivostock in Russia, and will join hands with Vietnam Airlines to organize the Otdukh-Leisure, the JATA farrs in Japan in September of this year and several others in Kunming, China. (www.vietstock.com.vn))
