ANZ to Launch 8th CD Issue in Vietnam
Australia-New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) announces it will issue certificates of deposit (CDs) for the 8th tranch in Vietnam this year.
The issue will take place in ANZ’s Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City branches and last till Nov 16.
ANZ will issue the CDs in USD with denomination of US$3,000, in stead of US$5,000 as before. The bank said it wants to lure more customers to the issue.
The bank offers interest rates of between 4.18 per cent and 4.38 per cent a year for terms of 1-12 months.
ANZ did not reveal how much the bank would mobilize from the issue. In the seventh CD issue in July-September, it expected to raise US$20 million. (Labor, Vietnam Economic Times)
