Vietnam's Exports to U.K. Reach US$1.4 Bln in 2007
Vietnam’s exports to U.K. were estimated to have hit US$1.4 billion last year, up 20 per cent on-year, according to the Vietnam Commercial Affairs Division in the U.K.
The country's main export items include footwear, apparel, woodworks, seafood and agricultural products.
Last year witnessed Vietnam's first export batch of electric transformers to the U.K. under a contract signed between the Hanaka Company and Melford International Company.
Hanaka will hand over two transformers with the combined capacity of 20MVA to Melford early this year.
This year, the country sets a target to rake in about US$1.6 billion from exports to the U.K., an on-year increase of 15 per cent-20 per cent. (VNA)
