Vietnam Province Okays US$2.57 Bln Trade Development Project

The central highlands province of Dak Lak has approved an overall trade development project until 2020 with a total investment of VND41.2 trillion (US$2.57 billion), People's Army reported.

 

The project is aimed to goods distribution network, especially farm produce trading in the province and neighbors. 

 

Under the plan, the province will develop four trade center at Buon Ma Thuot city, Krong Buc and Ea Kar districts, and build 11 supermarkets in districts of Ea H'leo, Ea Sup, Ea Kar, Cu M' Gar, Krong Pach, Krong Bong, Krong Nang, Krong Buc, Krong Ana M'drak and Buon Ma Thuot city.

 

 

Currently, Dak Lak is the biggest coffee grower in with 170,000 hectares in 2007, up by 10,000 hectares from 2006 and accounting for more than nearly 35 per cent of the country’s total coffee area.
