Vietnam Northern Province to Build 13 Industrial Parks by 2020
The northern province of Hoa Binh will set up 13 industrial parks (IP) by 2020 under the province’s industrial development plan submitted to the prime minister, the local Vietnam Economic Times reported March 12.
The parks of 2,666 hectares will be home to projects in the areas of electronics, garments, electronic components, consumables and construction materials.
Director of the provincial Industrial Park Management Board, Do Hai Ho said the IPs will be mostly located in Luong Son district, near the capital city of Hanoi and extending to Lang-Hoa Lac Road, to make business activities more convenient.
He added that the province will offer many incentives for investors in the IP, including exemptions on land hire fees for 11 years and business income tax for three years.
Hoa Binh now houses a 71-hectare IP in Luong Son district that was established in late 2006. The IP has attracted 10 projects worth $20.5 million. (Vietnam Economic Times, VNA)
