BIDV Provides US$83.12 Mln Insurance for Dong Nai 2 Hydropower Plant
BIDV Insurance Co. (BIC), a subsidiary of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), has recently inked a deal worth VND1.33 trillion (US$83.12 million) to insure for Dong Nai 2 Hydropower plant.
The insurance service covers the construction process and risk on assets in the operation process.
The 80-megawatt Dong Nai 2 hydropower plant is being developed by Trung Nam Investment and Construction Company and executed by Trung Nam Power Company in central highlands Lam Dong province at a total cost of over VND1.9 trillion (US$118.75 million).
The project was kicked off in late 2007 and will be completed in the second quarter of 2011, to generate 294 million kWh per annum when fully operational.
This is the second hydropower plant among 45 small-and-medium-sized hydroelectric works planned in Lam Dong province. (VietNamNet)
