Vietnam Expo 2008: Vietnam - Integration and Development

The 18^th Vietnam Expo 2008 hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is to take place from April 9^th to 13^th in Giang Vo Exhibition Centre.

 

Participating Vietnam Expo 2008, there are 700 stalls of 500 firms from 15 nations and territories. Of which over 300 stalls belong to 200 Vietnamese firms, noticeably Petro Vietnam, Viglacera, Hoa Phat, Viet A, LIOA, Hapro, Phu My Hung, Garment 10, etc. Nations and territories having companies in the trade fair are Cambodia, Cuba, Korea, Malaysia, Czech Republic, China, Belgium, Indonesia, Laos, Myanma, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, Australia, etc.

 

The goods classification concentrate on the main lines: Machinery and technical equipment; electrics – electronics and telecommunication; textile and garment, shoes and leather; services, construction, construction materials; transportation and logistics; pharmacy, cosmetics; and many others. The Fair organisers also hold two special exhibitions on agricultural produce and processed food; art craft – furniture and interior decor.

 

Typical activities to take place in Vietnam Expo 2008 are: “Vietnam Export Promotion Forum 2008”; “Signing Contracts, Agreements and Memoranda Ceremony among Vietnam’s firms and other countries”; “Gold Medal Awarding Ceremony for outstanding products”.
