Securities Companies Report Surging Profits in 2007

A lot of securities companies announced profit-making in 2007, some of them reported high earnings growth, the Vietnam Economic Times newspaper reported.
 
Bao Viet Securities Co said it made profit of VND215 billion last year, quadrupling from 2006’s VND51 billion.
 
Habubank Securities Co reported its profit increased to VND105 billion in 2007 from VND87 billion in 2006, ACB Securities Co to VND332 billion from VND73 billion, Dai Viet Securities Co to VND80 billion from VND855 million, First Securities Co to VND39 billion from VND18 billion.
 
An Binh Securities Co reported profit of VND60 billion in 2007, while it lost VND251 million in 2006.
 
A series of other securities brokerages had good performance in 2007, such as Thang Long Securities Co with profit of VND84.4 billion, Sacombank Securities Co with VND164 billion, SeaBank Securities Co with VND43 billion, Rong Viet Securities Co with VND43 billion and FPT Securities Co with VND9 billion.
 
Three securities companies still announced losses in 2007, of which Nam Viet Securities Co suffered a loss of VND1.57 billion, Vietnam Securities Co of VND4 billion and Click&Call of VND1.32 billion.
