South Korean Firms to Build US$820 Mln Property Project in Ha DongCity
South Korean Inpyung Vietnam, High Brand Vietnam and Seoul Vietnam firms on May 28 received an investment license to build a US$820 million high-class property project in Ha Dong city in northern Ha Tay province, adjacent to Hanoi, the Vietnam Economic Times said.
As the developer, the three South Korean companies will construct 29 high-sky buildings including 27 40-,35-level blocs and two 60-storey skyscrapers on an area of 94.1 hectares in Van Phu Urban Zone.
No further details were disclosed.
Between January and May this year, the northern Ha Tay province has attracted 17 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$1 billion, up 33 per cent in terms of project number and up 15.6 folds in terms of registered capital, the Hanoimoi Online said.
Besides, the provincial authorities licensed 48 domestically-invested projects valued at VND9.378 trillion (US$586 million), up 31.3 per cent on year, the paper said.
A strong surge of FDI and domestic investments is attributed to the government of Vietnam’s Hanoi capital expansion plan lawmakers will vote and decide today, the Hanoimoi Online noted.
South Korea with six projects costing US$827 million is taking the lead among countries and territories investing in the province. (Vietnam Economic Times)
