MPI: Vietnam Suspends VND3.998 Tln 716 Projects So Far
The Ministry of Planning and Investment on May 30 released a report, saying that 23 ministries, sectors and seven groups, corporations out of 85 in total have cut and suspended 716 projects valued at VND3.998 trillion (US$249.875 million).
So far, Ho Chi Minh City has planned to cut 388 projects valued at VND510 billion, the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper said. Meanwhile, Hanoi capital city has suspended 29 projects capitalized at VND518 billion.
The Ministry of Construction plans to slash 52 projects and reschedule 87 projects this year, the An Ninh Thu Do newspaper said.
The Ministry of National Defence also decided to suspend 17 projects and reschedule 19 projects next year. (The People, Laborer, Capital Security)
