AsiaCentre: Linking Asian Firms with Hungarian & EU Markets

To conditions favourable for Vietnamese enterprises to establish business ties and expand their businesses in the Hungarian and the EU markets, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently liaised with the Hungarian Embassy in Vietnam and the AsiaCentre (of Trabag Ag, Austria) to hold the seminar on the &ldquoPotential of Hungarian and EU markets and the role of the AsiaCentre.&rdquo
 
With its strategic location, Hungary is a good starting point to distribute goods to Middle and Eastern Europe. This economy has attracted many foreign investors, especially Asians. This market also consumes a large volume of goods from Asia. Mr Jancso Janos, Managing Director of AsiaCentre, said: this market has numerous opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises. In then near future, if Vietnamese goods are more competitive in price Vietnamese exporters can easily penetrate this market.
 
AsiaCentre, the largest wholesale shopping centre group in Central Europe, was ed in March 2003 in Budapest. The investor and 100 per cent owner of AsiaCentre is Trabag Ag, one of the largest construction and real estate developers in Europe. Following the fact that Hungary became a full member of the EU in May 2004, AsiaCentre aims to up a gate for trade from the Far East to the EU market and at the same time serve as a bridge towards the Far Eastern countries.
