U.S. Glass Producer Mulls over Factory in HCMC
Guardian Industries Corporation, a construction and automobile glass producer of the U.S., is seeking to lease some 25 hectares of land in Ho Chi Minh City for its factory, the newswire

The U.S. group is considering two locations, the Tay Bac Cu Chi Industrial Park and Saigon Hi-tech Park, for the factory.
The facility is set to go on stream in the middle of 2010.
Further information about the project like investment size or capacity of the factory is not made available.
Earlier, Guardian surveyed some locations in two provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai.
Construction glass accounts for 80 per cent of the U.S. group’s total output and the remainder is automobile glass which is supplied to the U.S. automobile producers. (vietstock Oct 31)
