First Vietnam-Sweden Biz Forum Opens in Hanoi

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) October 28 organized the first Vietnam-Sweden business forum in Hanoi to introduce the country’s business environment and investment opportunities to over 10 Swedish companies, which are on visit from October 26-29, local media reported.
 
The Swedish participants were big businesses working in finance, banking, medical equipment, construction, real estate and telecommunications, including SEB, Handelbanken International, SKF, Gambro, Cybercom and Getinge, said Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Rolf Bergman.
 
Speaking at the event, VCCI Vice President-cum-General Secretary Pham Gia Tuc said that there is a good prospect for trade and investment between Vietnam and Sweden, adding that Vietnam will always be an attractive, promising and sustainable market for Swedish investors and entrepreneurs.
 
At present, cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden is focusing on tourism and culture Swedish Ambassador Rolf Bergman said. He hoped that businesses of the two sides will boost their investment and expand trade relations.
 
A similar seminar will also be held Ho Chi Minh October 29.
 
Currently, there are over 70 Swedish companies operating in Vietnam. (Vietnam Economic Times, VNA)
