Ministry: Vietnam's Pledged ODA Loans to Hit $5.2 Bln in 2009

The Ministry of Planning and Investment has said in its statement that Vietnam is expected to sign ODA agreements valued at US$5.2 billion in 2009.
 
The sum will include US$4.63 billion of soft loans and US$570 million of grants, the ministry said.
 
This year, Vietnam is expected to receive US$2.2 billion of official development assistances out of US$5.4 billion ODA pledged by donors at CG meeting in 2007 for Vietnam this year.
 
Donors for Vietnam will gather at the Consultative Donors Group’s meeting in Hanoi from Dec 4 to 5 to discuss macroeconomic issues and growth potentials, Vietnamese state media said. (Young People)
