Vietnam Seaport City Attracts US$550 Mln FDI in Jan-Nov, up 401 per cent On Year
Vietnam’s northern seaport city of Haiphong has attracted US$550 million of FDI projects in the first eleven months of the year, up 401 per cent from a year ago and surpassing 110 per cent of the year’s target, the Haiphong authorities were quoted as saying on November 26.
Foreign-invested firms have made revenue of US$650 million, on year rise of 122 per cent and surpassing 118 per cent of the year’s target, of which, exports revenue was estimated at US$650 million, the authorities said.
FDI firms also contributed US$20 million to state budget.
Meanwhile, domestically-invested firms invested VND7.6 trillion (US$460.6 million) and posted revenue of VND3 trillion. (Investment)
