Int’l Arrivals to Vietnam Fall 5.7 percent in November
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said international visitor arrivals to Vietnam reached 279,000, down 5.7 per cent from October, totalling 3.8 million in the first 11 months of 2008, up 1.1 per cent year on year.
China remained the largest market with nearly 600,000 arrivals, followed by South Korea with over 416,000 arrivals, the US with nearly 379,000 arrivals and Japan with 358,000 arrivals.
Normally, the international arrivals increase from September to March. However, the ongoing financial crisis is causing a decline during this period. Besides, the flooding also triggered the fall.
