Vietnam Hotel Wins Int'l Quality Award
Hai Au hotel (Seagull hotel), a four-star hotel in Vietnam’s central province of Binh Dinh, has won the “International Quality Crown – London 2008” award for its service quality, state media has said.
Hai Au hotel was the only one in Vietnam receiving the BID award in 2008.
The “International Quality Crown” award is designed by Spain – based Business Initiative Directions (BID) to honor the most outstanding and impressive companies, organizations, and businessmen in the business world.
Founded in 1991, Hai Au hotel has 170 rooms including 100 rooms of international standards. Its turnover reached VND32 billion (US$1.95 million) in 2008, up 70 per cent over 2007.
Asean tourism ministers have recently gathered in Hanoi to discuss ways to boost the non-smoke industry’s development amid the global economic slowdown, state media said.
This year, Vietnam has set a target of receiving 5 million international tourist arrivals. (VNA)
