World Bank Adds US$200 Mln to Vietnam's Rural Finance Project

The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) January 21 signed a deal to borrow US$200 million from the World Bank for the rural finance project 3, the state-run Voice of Vietnam reported.
 
The BIDV said it will disburse the fund within the first quarter of this year and small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas will be directly benefited.
 
The World Bank has funneled more than US$600 million to the project, which is being implemented in 60 out of 64 cities and provinces across Vietnam with aims to develop rural area, reduce poverty, and improve living condition of rural people. (VOV)
