VTOS Awards for Top Hotels, Travel Firms

To honour tourism companies with outstanding achievements in human resources development and popularise the Vietnam Tourism Occupational Skill (VTOS) standard system, the Vietnam Human Resources Development in Tourism project cooperated with the Vietnam Tourism Association to organise a ceremony to grant VTOS awards to tourist companies with outstanding human resources training at the Hanoi Opera Theatre on July 2, 2009.

 

Three winning hotels include the 3-star Bong Sen Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, the 4-star Hoi An Hotel and the 5-star Sofitel Plaza Hanoi in Hanoi City and two winning travel companies are Saigontourist and OSC Travel (SMI Group).

 

With VTOS certificates, labourers will be recognised internationally. Thus, the certificates will become the international “passports” to work in other markets in the coming time, especially after 2010 when ASEAN nations will officially enact mutual recognition agreement (MRA) signed in Vietnam in January 2009.
