Vietnam Transport Sector Disburses VND5.2T Jan-July, up 71.5 per cent On-yr
The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport said that it disbursed VND5.2 trillion (US$302.624 million) in the first seven months of this year, representing the highest level of disbursement so far and an on-year increase of 71.5 per cent.
The ministry said that the expenditures of large-scale projects reached VND4.7 trillion, up 70 per cent against the same period last year.
The payout for projects using Government bonds was estimated at VND5.46 trillion, up by 86.6 per cent from a year earlier.
Projects using other capital sources also saw impressive disbursement rates in the seven-month period with foreign-funded projects at VND2.528 trillion, up 68.3 per cent; domestically-invested projects at VND2.174 trillion, up 71.6 per cent; and ODA-funded projects at VND637 billion, up 39.7 per cent.
The local transport sector is speeding up the implementation of its key transport projects, especially those still pending. (VNA)
