Vietnam Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Mulls Licensing 33 Projects worth US$2.8B
Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park (HHTP) in Hanoi is mulling over licensing 33 potential projects with a combined registered capital of US$2.8 billion.
Investors are waiting for licenses in the park, including Vietnam Science and Technology Institute, the National Epidemiology and Hygiene Institute, the IT and Communication Strategy Institute, FPT Corp., IBM Co., NCS Co., Alcatel JV, Hanoi Customs, Vinaline Logistics Co and BAP Co.
The Taiwan-based Foxconn Group also plans to invest in utility zone in HHTP.
HHTP, a joint venture between Japan and Vietnam established in 2006, has licensed 37 projects valued at US$1.1 billion so far, according to the HHTP’s management board.
Under the overall plan ratified by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in May last year, the HHTP will cover the size of 1,600 hectares. However, only half of the land has been cleared so far. (New Hanoi)
