VCCI Assists Enterprises to Declare E-Customs

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently collaborated with the General Department of Customs to host a seminar called “E-customs procedures in the business environment.” This is an activity in the framework of the Project 191, which supports enterprises to apply IT for integration and development in the period from 2006 to 2010.
 
The seminar is aimed to help local enterprises to declare e-customs, instruct importers and exporters to understand regulations and steps to declare e-customs procedures on the system.
 
At the seminar, Mr Le Van Ninh, Chief of the Reform and Modernisation Committee under the General Department of Customs, presented processes to declare electronic customs, advantages of e-customs, results in the past time and orientations in the coming time.
 
Mr Le Quang Hai from the IT and Customs Statistics Department also introduced IT solutions to support enterprises to perform e-customs procedures.
 
Also at the seminar, enterprises had a chance to contact and work with industry leaders, competent State organs and e-customs software providers.
