Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) announced the Vietnam well-known brands program 2010 at a gala night held at the Friendship Palace in Hanoi on August 15 to honor leading brands of 33 product and service categories in Vietnam in 2008.
Under the biennial program, the third of its kind, a trademark survey will be carried out in 18 provinces and cities nationwide, aiming to collect consumers’ opinions on 40 product and service categories.
Mr. Doan Duy Khuong, Vice President of VCCI noted that this will be a good opportunity for the winning brands in Vietnam to compete for the award “Southeast Asia’s Most Outstanding Business,” which will be announced at the ASEAN Summit 2010 to be held in Vietnam.
The 33 well-known brands in Vietnam from 2008 included Agribank, Viettien, Kinhdo, Traphaco, Bao Viet, Song Da 10, Taxi Mai Linh, Toan My, Lai Thieu, FPT, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Petrolimex, Kymdan, Omo, Honda, Nokia, Sony, EMS, Heneiken, Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam, SJC, Hoan My Hospital, Suoi Tien Tourism and Culture Park, Olay, Nippon, Thien Long, Hoa Thanh-Bat Trang, SaigonTourist, Long Hai, Phu My Hung, Phu My Fertilizer, ACBS, and VUS-ETSC.
