EC Grants EUR572,000 Equipment to Vietnam Tourism Schools
The European Committee (EC) donated on September 10 equipment worth over EUR572,000 to nine tourism training schools in Vietnam, said the state-run Vietnam News Agency quoting an official from the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST).
As part of a project to develop Vietnamese human resources, 300 pieces of equipment were provided to tourism colleges to serve four types of training, including room service, reception, restaurant operations and food processing.
The equipment will help tourism schools increase the quantity and quality of human resources to meet the demands of the tourism sector’s development, MCST Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang said.
The EC has contributed EUR10.8 million to a tourism human resource development project that has a total investment of EUR12 million. (Vietnamplus)
