Investors to Pour Nearly US$2B into Vietnam Province

As many as 15 investors will invest VND35 trillion (US$1.96 billion) into the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.

 

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thang said at a recent press conference, among these investors, PetroVietnam plans to build a VND19.45 trillion thermal power plant in the province.

 

Officials from the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank), the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) committed to ensure enough capital for projects in Hau Giang

 

The investment and trade promotion conference is scheduled to take place within the Hau Giang Rice Festival on November 26 and 30. (Saigon Liberation)
