Vietnam to Cut 5% of Landing Fees for Int’l Airlines
The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has decided to reduce taking off-and landing fees by 5% for international airlines to Vietnam.
The decision was in response to a proposal by Air Operator’s Commission (AOC) and Vietnam Airlines and is effective until next March 1.
AirAsia was quoted as saying that the fee cut will help the Malaysia carrier save roughly US$2,000 per month.
Vietnam is now home to 44 international airlines, comprising 33 passenger airlines and 11 for cargo services. (Economy & Urban)
