The securities market has cooled down with a sharp fall in the index of both HOSE and HNX. However, although liquidity on HNX declines, the market still appeals to the cash flow when the trading volume of each trading session on HOSE still amounts to VDN4,000 billion.

Trading volume is still at a high level
Cash flow still does not escape from the market when 86.89 million shares get matched during 26 October trading session. The market closes, losing 6.34 points, getting down to 609.34 points. Almost all investors believe that there is little likelihood that the market will fall below 600 points. Therefore, although supply gets bigger and bigger at the end of the trading session, some blue chips like SJS, BMP and NTL still maintain their upward move or slightly decline (STB, DPM and FPT). However, while blue chips manage to stand firm, the group of penny stocks see their price plummet and almost all of them have no buying orders unmet by the end of the trading session.

The trading session on 27 October sees VN-Index close at 596.78 points, down 12.56 points. There is time when this index declines by more than 18 points, down to 591 points. The downward trend and selling out stocks take place during the trading session.

This session is the first trading day of EIB (EXIMBANK). Changes in the price of EIB are not added to the Index basket. The market, therefore, does not get any support from the increase of VND1,000 in this share to VND29,000 per share. 14 million shares get matched during this trading session, making EIB top the list of trading volume. Liquidity of the market still maintains at 95.58 million shares worth VND4,442 billion.

During 28 October trading session, Vn-Index is still unable to surpass 600 points while liquidity drops by 25 % against the session earlier. Vn-Index closes at 599.86 points, up 3.08 points. 65.9 million shares get matched in this session.

On 29 October, investors take advantage to buy shares during last minutes of the session, making trading volume maintain high. 86.78 million shares (VND4,242.87 billion) are matched this day. Closing the session, Vn-Index loses 18.37 points, down to 581.49 points.

Liquidity declines
Trading on HNX cannot avoid a fall on 26 October trading day. 102 shares fall to the floor prices. HNX Index closes at 209.77 points, down 4.5 points (-2.1 %). Almost all shares of companies in the book industry, Song Da and Vinaconex are in the group of shares having prices fall to the floor. Some penny stocks like AGC, B82, HTP, S96, S12, TLT and TLC, etc. which enjoy good increases in price during the last time also see their price fall on this trading day. However, many shares including CTM, EID, HCT, HEV, MKV, ILC, PTM, SDH, TKU, VE1, VE9 and VHL increase to their ceiling prices. Liquidity of the market declines strongly compared to previous trading session. Total trading volume goes down to 41.9 million shares from 67.2 million shares. Trading value, therefore, declines from VND3,049 billion to VND1,955 billion.
On 27 October, HNX-Index closes at 204.44 points, losing 5.53 points. Trading volume also witnesses a dramatic decline, reaching 41.7 shares worth VND1,895 billion.

On 28 October, contrary to a slight increase on HOSE at the end of trading session, HNX keeps seeing its index decline. Despite a slight recovery, HNX-Index closes at 203.51 points, down 0.93 points.

29 October session marks HNX-Index fall below 200 points after ten sessions, down to 196.14 points. Total trading volume sees a light increase against the session earlier. 42 million shares get traded during this session, equivalent to VND1,747 billion.
